National Education Safety and Security Institute (NESSI)

NESSI conducts research, policy analysis and training to improve safety and security from manmade and natural disasters in the nation’s K-12 schools, institutions of higher education, and vocational, private, faith based schools and preschools. In April 2015, a partnership was developed between the UCLA based NESSI and the USC based Safe Communities Institute, recognizing the importance of a consolidated effort to maximize the effectiveness and achievement of the National Education Security Institute.

On March 29, 2016, NESSI partners, public health and safety officials gathered at the UCLA James West Alumni Center to officially launch NESSI. See pics at:
